You should hear from us within 14 days of your initial application to find out if you have been shortlisted for a first stage interview (this also applies for regional vacancies). We will contact you by email throughout the recruitment process. We may, however, call you if we need any additional information or to schedule an interview. Should your email address or contact number change you can access your candidate profile in Success Factors here. Please note there will only be a two-stage interview process (telephone interview and face to face interview) for all Lidl GB roles. Yes, you can apply for multiple jobs if you feel they are suited to your skills, experience, and aspirations. Please note however that our company policy is to not accept multiple applications for the same role within a 6 month period.

If you have been unsuccessful, please allow 6 months before applying for the same role again. You are of course welcome to apply for other opportunities at any time. Please note that applying as an Area Manager for a different region does not count as a separate role.

Yes, we do and we also run financial checks on certain roles.  Please note your employment is conditional upon the company's receipt of satisfactory references and if requested by the company, a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check.

London Weighting Payment is a discretionary and non-contractual payment paid to employees whose principal place of work is within the M25. It is paid in recognition of the additional costs of working and commuting to a Lidl office, store, or distribution centre within the M25.

Yes, you can apply from overseas. Please ensure that you provide your correct email address, contact number (including country code) so that we can contact you about your application. Please also ensure that you make your intention to move to the UK clear in your application. If you already know the date you’ll arrive and when you’ll be available to start, please include this too. Once you have arrived in the UK, please update your contact details on your candidate profile via Success Factors. Please note that you’ll need to obtain legal eligibility to work in the UK before we can offer any position to you.

Yes, we offer sponsorship for permanent roles requiring niche skill sets or specific language skills. Please note there will be a cost involved.

If you are asked to be part of the Lidl candidate community, it is because you have been successful at interview, but all our vacancies have been filled already. As part of the community, we can contact you when a suitable role becomes available.

Please note, you will not have to interview for our Store or Warehouse roles again. However, if it’s a Head Office/RDC Office/ Early Careers role, you will have to interview again.

Due to the high volume of applications, we receive we cannot notify individual candidates of future opportunities, we do however hold application details for 6 months. Our best advice would be to continue visiting the careers section of our website as this is updated regularly with new opportunities.

If you are added to our “Lidl Candidate Community”, we will be in touch as soon as we have a relevant vacancy live in your area. You profile will be live for 12 months, after which you will have the option to ‘opt in’ to stay in the Talent Pool.”
