The typical shift patterns in the warehouses will vary depending on the region; however, we will advertise the specific shift patterns on the job adverts. We’ll make sure our rotas are available at least 3 weeks in advance, so you’ll always be able to make the most of your free time.
As a Warehouse Operative, you will work with all our product groups, namely Bakery, Fruit & Veg, Meat & Poultry, Chiller, Ambient, Frozen, Beers/Wines/Spirits and Non-Food for our “Middle of Lidl” section.Depending on the specific role, you may be required to work in temperature-controlled environments, such as the Chiller (-1°C to 2°C) or the freezer (-18°C).
You will be given a Comprehensive Training Programme over a 28-day period with an assigned Training Mentor to support you throughout. On your first day with Lidl GB, you will be provided with an allocation of uniform consisting of a softshell jacket, branded polo shirts/shirts or blouses, hi-visibility clothing, steel toe cap boots and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) if required. The number of allocations depends on your position and your contracted hours. You should provide your own trousers/shorts or jeans.
