RUN: Runcorn. Includes North Wales, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire

DON: Doncaster. Includes South, East, West Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Manchester and surrounding areas

WED: Wednesbury. Includes South Manchester, Leicestershire, West Midlands, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Derbyshire, Birmingham and Coventry

PET: Peterborough. Includes East Anglia, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk and Nottinghamshire

LTN: Luton. Includes Luton, Milton Keynes, Coventry, Bedford, Northampton, West Hertfordshire, Warwickshire, Buckinghamshire, Reading, Slough and North London

BRI: Bridgend. Includes Pembrokeshire, Powys, Cardiff, Swansea, Bridgend, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and the Forest of Dean

SEV: Severn Beach. Includes Avon, North Somerset, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Cheltenham and Worcestershire

BEL: Belvedere. Includes South London and some parts of Kent and some parts of Surrey

NFL: Northfleet. Includes Essex, Kent, some parts of East Sussex and East London

EXE: Exeter. Includes Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Bournemouth and Dorset

SOU: Southampton. Includes Hampshire and some parts of Surrey and Sussex

Shift patterns vary depending on region, however these are advertised on each individual job advert. We’ll make sure our rotas are available at least 3 weeks in advance, so you’ll always be able to make the most of your free time.

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll work with all of our product groups, from Bakery, Fruit & Veg, Meat & Poultry to Chiller, Ambient, Frozen, Beers/Wines/Spirits and Non-Food for our ‘Middle of Lidl’ section.Depending on your role, you may be required to work in temperature-controlled environments, such as the chiller (-1°C to 2°C) or the freezer (-18°C), for an additional £1.50 per hour included in your max. pay rate.

When you start, you’ll be given a Comprehensive Training Programme over a 28-day period with an assigned Training Mentor to support you throughout. The recruitment process is typically an application followed by a telephone interview (including an eligibility to work check / shift availability check), in-person interview (competency based) including a warehouse tour, an offer/feedback call and finally a welcome event on your first day.If you are successful at interview but all of our vacancies are filled, we might ask you to join our ‘Lidl Candidate Community’. If you accept, we’ll then contact you as soon as a relevant vacancy is live in your area.

On your first day as part of our Lidl GB Warehouse team, you’ll receive your uniform allocation consisting of a softshell jacket, branded polo shirts or blouses, hi-visibility clothing and steel toe cap boots, as well as PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) if required. The number of items you’ll be given depends on your position and your contracted hours. You should provide your own trousers/shorts or jeans.
