To say it’s been a challenging period for our Lidl colleagues is more than an understatement, but our store and warehouse teams have risen to every challenge they’ve faced to ensure we can keep feeding the nation.

That’s why we’re so excited to announce an £18 million investment in our hourly pay rates. This means our largest ever pay increase for existing Lidl Customer Assistant and Warehouse Operative colleagues, as well as one of the highest hourly pay rates in the market for anyone joining the business.

From the 1st March 2022, our hourly pay bandings have risen to:

£9.50 - £10.70 per hour to £10.10 - £11.40 per hour outside the M25
£10.85 - £11.80 per hour to £11.30 - £12.25 per hour inside the M25

This is 60p per hour more than the government’s National Living Wage (for over 23s). We have also applied this increase for all hourly paid roles, to ensure that all hourly paid colleagues benefit from the investment.

This investment is the least our colleagues deserve for their ongoing hard work and dedication.
