I am enjoying the challenge of studying alongside work. When I complete my apprenticeship and gain a project management qualification, all of the hard work will be worth it! It's been great to invest so much in my personal development.
What has been your biggest learning so far?
Time management and organisation is crucial to success when studying alongside work.
How do you use your apprenticeship learnings in your day-to-day role?
The project knowledge I am gaining and the skills I am developing can be applied to all aspects of my role as a consultant. Some of the techniques are particularly useful when applied to the larger scale project I am working on. Developing behaviours around collaboration and effective communication have helped in numerous scenarios including holding stakeholder meetings, presentations, and day-to-day communication with both Regional and Head Office colleagues.l
How are you currently using your off the job training? / What are some examples of the off the job training you have completed?
Work shadowing, practicing techniques I've learnt from the apprenticeship content, additional study.
What are the three words you would use to describe your apprenticeship journey?
Challenging, rewarding and motivating.
