What to expect before you join us
Your first day is near, we hope you’re excited! Before you get started, here are the steps you can expect to go through in preparation for the big day.
Congratulations! You have been offered a role with Lidl
Your line manager or a member of the Recruitment Team will have already called you to let you know about the offer and a start date will have already been agreed.
Your contract
Next you will be asked to complete your personal details on our recruitment application tracking system. This will generate your employment contract which will be posted to you, and we will ask you return this by post to us so we can get everything you need in time for your start date.
Call with your new line manager
Your line manager will give you a Welcome Call before you join Lidl. This is a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you have so that you have everything you need for your new career at Lidl. On this call your line manager will make sure you have everything you need for your first day at Lidl. Your line manager will talk through what to expect during your first week and can talk you through who you might meet with in the team.
Your Welcome Event invite
After this, you should expect an email which includes all the details about the Welcome Event which will be your first day at Lidl. The Welcome Event is held at the Regional Distribution Centre and is led by the Training department. You will learn lots of information about life at Lidl and get to meet lots of other new colleagues. You are also likely to have a tour of the warehouse which provides the stock for your store and others within your region!

The next step is your first day at Lidl - the Welcome Event at the Regional Distribution Centre! We are excited to welcome you to the team! Remember to bring your ID/Passport to the Welcome Event.
