You must bring your original right to work documentation, for example Passport or National ID card, including any share code for your settled/pre-settled status to the Welcome Event as failure to bring this along with you, could result in your start date being delayed. Please also bring a pair of socks with you for the Warehouse Tour. You will be provided safety boots and a high visibility jacket. 

This will be sent to you along with your Welcome Event Invite letter and is called a Training Plan that will detail what your first two weeks will look like. After this, a rota will be available for you in store every 3 weeks in advance. 

Your salary is paid to you monthly, on the second to last working day of the month. For example, if the 31st falls on a Friday, you will receive payment on the Thursday.

Your first day is a Welcome Event held within the Regional Distribution Centre. You will receive details for the Welcome Event a week before your start date. This will include an invite letter with important information such as the location and time, what you should bring and what you can expect on the day. The pack will also include a handbook, training plan and directions.

The time you are due on shift will be detailed on your training plan.

Your first day will be at a Welcome Event, either at the Regional Distribution Centre or Head Office. The dress code at the Welcome Event is smart casual and you can wear your own clothes. You will receive uniform either at the Welcome Event or provided to you on your first day in store. 

Expenses for travelling to the Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) on your first day will be included unless the RDC is your place of work. If you are travelling by public transport, tickets will be organised for collection prior to the event. If you travelling by car, you will be paid for mileage after the Welcome Event date. Your line manager will support you with this process.

You will be assigned a locker for your personal belongings. 

The Store Manager, or your Training Mentor will be on hand to welcome you into the store on your first day. If the Store Manager is not available, a Deputy Manager or Shift Manager will be on hand to assist you on your first day. The Training Mentor is there to support you during your training period.

You will receive a fob or clocking in card (if you are working within the Warehouse) at the Welcome Event which you must ensure you take with you on your first day in to the Store or the Warehouse so the Manager can assign this to you and you will be shown how to clock in and out, which records your working times.

If you are working in the Regional Distribution Centre or Head Office, there is parking on site. If you are working in the store, on your first day please check with your Store Manager who can make sure your car registration is added to the system.
