Since 2017 we have support over 500 apprentices across the business. Lidl GB offers over 50 different apprenticeships from Warehouse Operative Level 2 (equivalent to 5 x GCSE’s) up to [Senior Leader Level 7 (MBA)] Degree and Masters Level 6/7. No matter what part of the business you work in, we are here to support you and your development. We have opportunities across England, Scotland and Wales.

Customer Assistant
Qualification: Retail Level 2
Duration: 12 months plus 3 month EPA*
Equivalent to: 5 x GCSE passes A* - C
Overview: Suitable for all Customer Assistants (CA) who are looking to develop their career within Lidl. The CA will provide the knowledge and skills to increase talent coming up through the business.
As a valued CA, they’ll have a good understanding of how the business works, using this programme to expand on this. They’ll develop their retail knowledge whilst gaining the essential skills and behaviours that help them be the best they can be.

Overview: Suitable for all ambitious Shift Managers (ShM) who have the potential to develop their career within Lidl.

The Operations Departmental Manager Level 5 Apprenticeship cultivates the extend the SMs and AMs knowledge across a range of topics, leading them to more efficiently achieve their operational goals.
On completion of the programme, SMs and AMS will have a refined range of skills supporting them to drive improvements in both individual and business performance.

Overview: Suitable for ambitious Store Managers (SMs) and Area Managers (AMs) who are looking to development their careers within Lidl. The Professional Coaching programme is for SMs and AMs in a coaching roles who helps individuals identify their goals through engaging with them in meaningful, skilled and authentic sessions.
On completion, SMs and AMs will use enhanced listening and questioning skills to increase individuals’ and teams’ self-awareness, enabling them to evaluation their own and others strengths and development areas.

Overview: Suitable for HR Administrators and Officers who deliver front line support to managers and employees. On completion, delegates will have developed a clear understanding of the business situation through appropriate questions and active listening, and will be able to apply HR legislation, policies and procedures relevant to their role. They will be able to provide advice and guidance that are appropriate to the business context whilst building the skills of managers in dealing with HR matters.
