An apprenticeship or funded learning programme is an opportunity to complete an industry-recognised qualification with support from the company. The programmes provide professionals with on-the-job training alongside their normal role, plus some time to study.

All programmes are delivered by a third-party provider, and you will receive a dedicated trainer who will support you with monthly visits and check-in’s throughout the programme. Apprenticeships are fully funded by the employer’s apprenticeship levy.

Apprenticeships are offered from level 2-7 in England*. The table below shows what they are equivalent to:

*If you are based in Scotland or Wales the apprenticeship funding is slightly different. Please email apprenticeships@lidl.co.uk with the programme and level you would like to do and the team will advise.

If you are interested in doing a funded learning programme, please speak with your line manager who can advise what programme(s) are applicable to you in your current role. If the programme you want to study is not yet available, please speak with the Learning and Development team who are happy to accommodate, where appropriate.

Further information on a funded learning programmes can be found on the HR Hub.
