Password Reset

If you have forgotten your username or password, please follow the link below to reset your username and/or password: https://jobs.lidl.com/relogin/gb
Please follow the 'Forgot your password?' link without completing any other fields. You will be prompted to enter the email address you initially registered with. Once you have done so your username and new password will be emailed to you.

Troubleshooting Tips

Should you have trouble completing your application please ensure the following:
1. That you are not attempting to register using your work email address, as only personal email addresses are accepted
2. That you are not attempting to attach documents using a Smart Phone or tablet.
3. That your pop-up blocker is turned off and you are using an up-to-date version of Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer. Wherever possible, please use Mozilla Firefox.
4. That the file is a PDF with a maximum size of 4mb. Depending on the operating system and file type being used, some candidates may experience issues uploading their documents.

If you have a disability or condition that may impact you in the online test then please contact our online test partner at lidluk@cut-e.com to inform them of:

- Your full name
- Your contact number
- The email address you used to apply for the position
- The name of the role you applied for
- The location in which you currently live
- Time over the next 24 hours which would suit for us to phone you
- An outline of your special requirements or query

This will enable them to consider the best way to accommodate your needs in the online test. Where relevant, they will also pass on this information to the local recruitment team handling the role that you have applied for.

If you have a special requirement/disability that may impact you during any later face to face or telephone assessment but not in online tests, then please contact the recruitment team at Lidl direct (via the email address in your confirmation email) with the information highlighted in the above bullet points.

It is recommended that you do tell your line manager as they will be able to support you based on current performance. Please note however that your line manager will be informed if you are successfully invited to an interview.

You cannot apply if you are yet to pass your probationary period or if your probationary period has been extended.

 Yes, this is the only document you need to apply.

Not every role requires an online test to be completed. The job advert will always specify whether or not you are required to complete one.

The online test is specifically tailored to each role; the format may therefore vary based on the role you’re applying for.
Before the test starts you will be given a summary of what to expect and a chance to run through some practice questions.

Your terms and conditions will reflect those of your new role, you will have the opportunity to discuss this at interview. New terms and conditions will honour existing Lidl length of service and any benefits associated with this (e.g. sabbatical leave after five years of service).

No, there is no probation period if you are already a Lidl colleague.

No, as you are already a Lidl colleague, this is not required. Your induction and training will be managed by your new line manager.

Application or telephone interview

If you are unsuccessful after the face-to-face interview process you must wait 6 months to re-apply for the same role. 

1.    If you fit into the “preferred candidate for interview” for this specific role you can apply for this vacancy as many times as you wish with no time limit to reapply.
Example:
For a Store Manager vacancy, “preferred candidates for interview” include:
•    Development step E Deputy Store Managers
•    Store Managers working in a different location

2.    If you are unsuccessful but you have passed the interview/assessment process there is no time limit to reapply. Occasionally, a colleague will score a mark on an assessment that is high enough to pass, but still not be offered the role (usually because another candidate scored an even higher mark).

3.    If you are not a “preferred candidate for interview” and you have not passed the interview/assessment process, then you should wait a period of 3 months (as a minimum) before applying for the same role again, even if it’s in a different location.

You can ask the Recruitment Team for feedback on your application at any stage of the process to help you with an application you may decide to make in the future.

Yes, you can apply for multiple jobs if you feel they are suited to your skills, experience and aspirations. Please note however that our company policy is to not accept multiple applications for the same role within a six-month period.

Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we cannot notify individual candidates of future opportunities. Our best advice would be to continue visiting mylidlcareer.co.uk as this is regularly updated with new opportunities.

Permanent colleagues can apply for temporary roles, often called Temporary Assignments or “FTC” (fixed term contract). If successful you will be placed into this role on a secondment basis and once this has come to an end you can return to a similar role in the same location as before. If you are unclear whether a role matches what you’re looking for, please speak to the recruitment team.
