Summary

 

We have an exciting position available for a Head of Business Partnering to lead our Business Partnering function at Lidl GB. The responsibilities for this position include the technical management, the creation of Key Performance Indicators, process transparency as well as the provision of information and data to our Head Office departmental stakeholders to enable informed decision making.

The Head of Business Partnering is responsible for providing a complete operational and financial overview of the business and acts as the key professional contact and business partner for our Head Office departments and stakeholders.

The role includes partnering with head office as well as regional and international stakeholders to help the development of the Business Partnering team.

 

We have a hybrid working model for Head Office roles, with only 3 days in the office per week ensuring you have a flexible work life balance.

What you'll do

 

•   Leading a team of Business Partners, recruiting and developing colleagues within the team
•    Direct and regular communication with head office departments and stakeholders as well as International business partnering colleagues
•    Building rapport and trust with all key stakeholders in key Head Office functions
•    FP&A/Budget/Forecast: A leading role in the financial planning and analysis
•    Carrying out various month end tasks to enable the production of multiple monthly reports and Management accounts
•    Complete consideration of all relevant key performance indicators within the process chain
•    Ensuring the timely monitoring and analysis of all relevant Key Performance Indicators for the business as well as providing commentary and feedback on reports and variances to plan
•    Providing support and unbiased insights to departments and stakeholders through simple ad-hoc reports and analysis
•    Supporting departments in the development of measures to address anomalies and identified variances
•    Responsible for monitoring the success of implemented measures (measurability / result control)
•    Actively taking part in the creation of ad-hoc reports / analysis and ad-hoc presentations with further support for the Business Intelligence and Regional Controlling departments within Controlling
•    Promoting communication and experience exchanges (best practice)
•    Creating synergies for reporting and analysis
•    Ensuring the efficiency of all controlling processes
•    Compliance with controlling standards
•    Ensuring the timely provision of reporting packs and analysis for regular weekly and monthly meetings (e.g. general manager meetings, operational / personnel cost discussions, planning discussions)
•    The Business Partner acts as the Interface, Service provider, Coordinator and Business Partner for all Head Office functions

What you'll need


•    Preferred Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in one of the following or related areas Business Studies, Management Studies or Economics
•    Solid Management Accounting and Financial Reporting experience
•    Previous experience working with departments outside of Finance and managing stakeholders
•    Strong ability to understand complex problems and scenarios, and analysing them in detail
•    Ability to work to tight deadlines and to deliver accurate results
•    Excellent communication skills and ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders at all levels of seniority
•    Experience of managing a team
•    German language skills
•    Self-motivated and proactive individual with a can-do attitude and the ability to work on projects and solve problems independently
