Warehouse Assistant Team Manager - £32,480 – £44,660*

As a dedicated Assistant Team Manager of the Warehouse, you’ll take pride in matching supply and demand 24/7, keeping our 600+ UK stores fully stocked and our customers happy. With goods of all kinds flowing in and out, including fresh and frozen produce, it’s vital that they’re received, stored and delivered on time and in excellent condition.

Reporting directly to our Department Managers, you’ll be play a key role in upholding our high standards and ensuring that stores in your region open each day with a full range of products. You’ll also lead and develop employees within their chosen function.

We offer roles in the following departments:

Goods In

A vital link in our supply chain, Goods In is responsible for all stock delivered to our warehouse. Join the team and you’ll help guarantee that we carry out the intake and processing of stock as efficiently as possible. All while leading your own team and developing more effective working practices.


Comprising around 150-200 people in each Regional Distribution Centre, Selection is the largest department within Logistics. Supporting the Department Manager, you’ll make sure your team safely and efficiently processes stock for transport, and that our stores receive what they want, when they want it.


Supporting the Department Manager and leading your team, you’ll ensure the constant flow of stock from supplier to warehouse and onto our stores. Transport is a busy area filled with continuous challenges. To keep things running smoothly, you’ll need to be highly adaptable with excellent organisational skills.

*Subject to experience and inclusive of 10% London Weighting (non contractual) for employees working within the M25

What will you do? .

Lead a team of Warehouse Operatives in our Goods In, Selection or Transport department ensuring stock is received, stored, packed and transported according to the highest standards.

• £32,480 – £40,600 (subject to experience)
• 10% London weighting (non contractual) for employees working within the M25
• 30 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays), rising to 35 days after two years

Training & Development

We’re committed to your on-going development from the moment you begin. After attending an initial welcome event, you’ll have an induction during which you’ll meet your line manager and other members of the team, and discuss an individually-tailored training plan. Your training will be very in depth, and will cover all aspects of our warehouse jobs before being refined to your chosen section.

We know that starting a new job can be daunting, so we’ll give you a buddy, an experienced team member who you can go to with any work or company related questions you may have.

Once you get going, you can expect regular feedback on your progress as well as a formal appraisal with your line manager once a year. During the appraisal you can discuss your performance and achievements over the past 12 months and set achievable goals for the next 12 months.
