Warehouse operative stage
“We work hard to make things
run smoothly, but theres real
camaraderie which keeps it fun.”
Luke, Warehouse Operative
Our huge distribution centres stock every product that we sell in our stores. And it's the job of our warehouse operatives to receive the products as they arrive from our suppliers and then get them ready to be delivered to stores. Our warehouses never stop. 24 hours a day we have teams of warehouse operatives working on a range of shifts, selecting products for delivery from many different warehouse sections - like fruit and veg, meat & poultry, alcohol and frozen goods. And we rely on every single person working to the best of their ability to get the job done.
Instructions of how many products to pick for each store come through a headset at a rapid pace. It’s vital to be accurate and think quickly to keep up with the orders coming in from the stores because without your hard work, they wouldn’t have any products to sell. This is an environment that requires hard graft and it’ll keep you on your feet. It can be cold in the fridge – and even colder in the freezer.
Depending on your shift, you might start before the rest of the world is awake or finish late into the night so it’s not for people who like a 9 to 5. The best parts? You’ll receive a competitive hourly rate, regular breaks, good holiday and discounts in our stores. We’ll make sure our rotas are available 3 weeks in advance so you’ll always be able to make the most of your free time. We’re growing too – and it feels great to have that stability. So if you’re the type of person who works well at any time of the day or night and never likes to stand still (except when you’re on your break, of course) you could be exactly the right person to join our team.APPLY NOW
