Customer Assistant stage

Being a Customer Assistant at Lidl means starting at 5am some days or finishing at 11pm on others to make sure our stores are ready for our customers. And you’ll need your coffee before you arrive because from the moment you step through the door, you’ll be busy. We don’t have specific jobs for specific people in our stores, so you won’t just be unpacking deliveries or working on the till or stacking the shelves; you’ll be doing all of it. Each shift will be different depending on what the team needs and you might be working weekdays or weekends.

The best advice we could give you is that you’ll need lots of initiative. Our store teams are small and there's lots to do – so there’s no time to waste. Our efficient ways of working mean our stores are clean, tidy and well-ordered and that customers can always get the products they need and enjoy their visit to our stores. And what about you? Well, you’ll be part of a like-minded team who are all in it together so the time flies by. We make sure our rotas are available 3 weeks in advance so you can make the most of your time outside of work. You’ll be well-trained and challenged to improve daily.
