We're proud to have the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) as our national charity partner. Through this partnership, we are helping the UK’s leading children’s charity to reach over a million primary school children through its Speak out. Stay safe. programme, giving a generation of children the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse and neglect.

We know the welfare of animals in our supply chain is as important to our customers as it is to us, and there’s a high expectation that we make sure all livestock are reared well and to high welfare standards. That’s why any of our UK suppliers involved in producing fresh meat, milk and butter products are independently audited to Red Tractor Standards.

We’re pleased to be partnering with Neighbourly – the award-winning social platform – to launch our first national food redistribution programme: Feed It Back. This network is aimed at making sure local charity projects can benefit from our surplus quality food. These charities will collect produce directly from our stores each day, bringing our store staff closer to their local communities.

We’re proud to support the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)’s certification scheme. Established to improve the conditions of maritime ecosystems, the accreditation is awarded to fishing companies who can prove via independent checks that their fishing practices do not contribute to overfishing.

Fairglobe is a brand devised by Lidl to support the Fairtrade movement. Through it we’ve helped to improve the quality of life in less economically developed countries, including Ethiopia, Honduras and Papua New Guinea.
