Lidl collects information from job applicants who apply via our website directly. The information that you provide on the application form or obtained from other sources relating to your application (such as references and qualification certificates) will be used to process your application. This information is uploaded onto our applicant database, which is maintained by an external provider. The provider is liable to the Data Protection legislation and is bound to it via contract by Lidl UK. Applicants for certain advertised roles may also be asked to register basic personal details in order to complete online assessments on CAPP & Co’s recruitment platform ‘Jobmi’. This platform is also used by applicants to schedule appointments for telephone interviews and assessment centres run by Lidl in partnership with CAPP & CO.
All personal data will be stored and processed in accordance with data protection policies and procedures. Any personal data submitted will only be used for Lidl’s recruitment purposes and will not be passed on to any third party (unless contracted to Lidl for specific recruitment or IT services) without your express agreement unless required by law. For further information please refer to the data protection information found on Lidl’s recruitment website. If you are unsuccessful, we may retain your data for up to 6 months. If you are successful, your data from the candidate profile will form part of your personnel record.
Please note that all offers of employment are subject to the receipt of references that are satisfactory to Lidl.
